The bike launch is set to happen later this year

The KTM Duke 200 USA launch is all set to happen as a late 2020 model and India will export the bikes to the diverse nation.

However, it is not the first model from the Austrian manufacturer to be sold there, as the KTM Duke 390 is sold there as well.

But a 200cc model for United States that has such a vast landscape and huge roads is a curious move.

Maybe KTM is looking to attract more youngsters to take up motorcycle riding there since most youngsters in the USA choose a car as their first motor.

Other interesting development is that KTM has plans to get rid of the Duke 390 in the USA, perhaps to replace it with the new Duke 390. But details are scarce at the moment.

What we do know is that the pocket rocket of a bike will be priced at around $4000 (Rs. 3 lakhs), achingly close to the price of the very small Honda Grom that is sold in North America for sometime now.

It will get the same 199cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that produces 24.6 PS and 19.3 Nm. The bike gets two colour options and has LED DRLs as well.

The USA model might get changes in the feature-list, keeping the bike in tune with models offered there and regulations.

Official word from KTM North America about the KTM Duke 200 USA launch is expected in the coming weeks.
