2020 Hyundai Verna Launched In China
The updated version of the sedan now comes with the 1.4-litre petrol engine only.
The much anticipated 2020 Hyundai Verna has been launched in the Chinese market at a starting price of Rs. 7,30,951/- approximately (CNY 72,800) making it Rs. 88,000/- cheaper than what is currently offered in India. The new Verna is 25 mm longer, 8 mm narrower and 5 mm lower than the previous model. It measures 4405 mm in length, 1720 mm in width and 1455 mm in height. The wheelbase at 2600 mm remains the same.
The 2020 Hyundai Verna gets 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, tri-part headlamps, 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) as part of the package. It gets an up-to-date equipment package, a more aggressive design and 6 exterior colour options.
Under the hood, the 2020 Hyundai Verna gets a 1.4-litre petrol engine producing 99.66 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 132.4 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM. Though the 1.6-litre petrol engine is dropped, the 6-speed manual transmission has been retained. A CVT is on offer as well.
In the Chinese market, the sedan is offered in a total of 4 variants and the fully-loaded variant is priced at approximately Rs. 9,75,423/- (CNY 96,800).
