Aprilia 150cc Bike To Be Launched At 2020 Auto Expo
Piaggio might price the 150cc Aprilia higher than the Yamaha R15.
Piaggio is set to launch 2 new offerings at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020 – a 150cc Aprilia motorcycle; already in its final stages of testing and a new family scooter.
Piaggio had previously showcased 2 150cc motorcycles at the Auto Expo 2018 – the RS 150 and the Tuono 150. The displayed motorcycles were filled to the brim with features usually seen on high-end motorcycles. If the brand does plan to launch either of the bikes in India, they will be sobered up a bit and might have to let go of features such as the quick-shifter.
Simultaneously, one of Piaggio’s 150cc faired motorcycle was spotted in India a few months ago while being showcased to a few selected dealers. This could be the Aprilia GPR 150 sold in China and the one set for a possible launch next February.
Piaggio has decided to manufacture this 150cc motorcycle in India and might price it higher than the Yamaha YZF-R15 as the company feels that the brand deserves a bit more premium than the rest.
