2019 Maruti Ignis Launched, Priced From Rs. 4.79 Lakhs
The refreshed Maruti Ignis has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 4.73 lakhs.
The 2019 Maruti Ignis has been launched in India and it is priced between Rs. 4.79-7.14 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). On the outside, the vehicle doesn’t get many changes. The addition of roof rails is the only thing that’s done to differentiate the new Ignis from the older car.
On the inside too, there are hardly any changes. It comes with the same SmartPlay infotainment system as earlier and the equipment list is similar too. However, in terms of safety features, the Ignis now comes with high speed alert, seatbelt reminder system, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors on all variants and of course dual front airbags with ABS and EBD.
The car is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine produces 83 BHP and 113 Nm of torque and is mated to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, with the optional 5-speed AMT transmission as well. There may not be a diesel variant due to extremely low sales and it was also discontinued last year.
