Mahindra SsangYong will test the waters for SUVs in India with the launch of a small SUV. This new SUV will be built on an all new platform and will be manufactured locally. If things go as planned and Mahindra sees demand for the vehicle, they will launch the Korrando (pictured above) in India. Mahindra SsangYong also plans to develop an SUV which will directly rival with Hyundai’s Santa Fe and will make it to India by 2014.
