In a welcome move, Maruti has made a driver side airbag standard on all trims of the Swift.

The NEXA cars already come with dual front airbags and ABS standard on all trims

Almost every manufacturer has been adding safety features on their vehicles and Maruti isn’t behind. The company has made dual front airbags and ABS standard fitment on all the cars that are sold through NEXA. Apart from that, even the bread and butter vehicles in the line-up have been getting safety features on most trims, at least as an option.

The Maruti Swift is available in 6 trims – LXi, LDi, VXi, VDi, ZXi and ZDi. Until now, only the Z trims came with dual front airbags as standard while the other trims got them as optional fitment. In a new move, the company has made the driver side airbag standard on every trim of the hatchback which is a welcome addition.

Maruti recently equipped the Ciaz and Baleno with ISOFIX mounts and now the company has fitted ISOFIX mounts even on the S-Cross. The newly-launched Ignis also comes with ISOFIX mounts which means that the entire NEXA line-up gets this feature.
