Ford EcoSport Dual Front Airbags Standard On All Trims

The Ford EcoSport now comes with dual front airbags made standard on all variants.

Almost each and every major automaker has started offering dual front airbags as standard on all trims of their vehicles. Ford is no different and the firm has now made dual front airbags standard on all variants of the EcoSport compact SUV. Earlier, the vehicle used to get airbags on all trims except the base Ambiente.

There are no other changes to the EcoSport’s equipment list. The Ambiente trim still misses out on ABS with EBD and only Trend and above trims get that feature. Apart from that, the top Titanium AT and Titanium+ trims come with a total of 6 airbags. Every car in Ford’s India portfolio now gets a driver airbag as standard (Figo base variants included).

The Ford EcoSport competes with the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra TUV300. Ford has made quite a few changes to the EcoSport with the arrival of the Vitara Brezza. First, prices were slashed by more than Rs. 1 lakh when Maruti launched its compact SUV and now dual front airbags are standard on all trims because even the Vitara Brezza gets those.
