Volkswagen Ameo Pre-Bookings Start On 12th May
Volkswagen is all geared up to showcase the Ameo in 17 cities across the country and pre-bookings for the car will also begin.
The Volkswagen Ameo is one highly anticipated car from the German automaker. The Polo-based compact sedan is going to be launched in India in July. Volkswagen will now commence pre-bookings for the car and the company is also organising a roadshow where the vehicle will be showcased in 17 cities across the country.
The multi-city roadshow will begin on 12th May and will get over on 2nd July. The showcase will happen in the following cities – Pune, Nagpur, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Ludhiana, Surat, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Lucknow, Cochin, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Mumbai.
Volkswagen is also going to introduce an application for the Ameo and it’ll be available on both Google Play as well as Apple’s iOS store. The Ameo seems to be a very ambitious car for the automaker. It was first revealed to the public in February 2016. The Ameo will be slotted between the Polo and Vento.
The Volkswagen Ameo will be positioned in the sub 4-metre compact sedan segment and it will be rivalling the Maruti Swift DZire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Zest, Honda Amaze and Ford Figo Aspire. The Ameo will be offered in both petrol as well as diesel guises and we expect it to be priced between Rs. 6-9 lakhs (ex-showroom).
