BMW To Launch X1 By December

BMW will start manufacturing its third model in India at its Chennai plant by the end of this year. The BMW X1 will be launched by December 2010 and will be priced around Rs. 25 lakhs. BMW will invest 30% more in their facility from its current investment of Rs. 110 crore to accommodate production of the new X1. It will also add 30% more staff to its current headcount of 200. The company will also expand its production capacity as well as its distribution network.
