2020 Skoda Rapid & Karoq Pre-Bookings Commence
Skoda has commenced pre-bookings for Rapid and Karoq in India.
After showcasing the new Rapid 1.0 TSI and Karoq at the 2020 Auto Expo, Skoda has started accepting bookings for the same. The Czech carmaker will commence deliveries for the Rapid from 14th April while Karoq will be delivered from 6th May.
The booking amount for both the cars is Rs. 50,000/- and is refundable. The cars are available for booking at Skoda’s authorised dealer network and official website.
The Skoda Rapid will now get a new BS6 compliant 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine producing 110 HP. The previously offered BS4 compliant petrol and diesel engines have been discontinued.
The Rapid will get a new touchscreen infotainment system along with other small bits and changes. The overall styling and equipment list will remain more or less the same.
The Skoda Karoq will be imported via the CBU route. It is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol BS6 compliant engine producing 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The Karoq will be positioned under Kodiaq and feature panoramic sunroof, virtual cockpit and 9 airbags among other features.
