2019 Mahindra Bolero Updated With Safety Kit
Mahindra has updated the Bolero with new safety features to comply with Govt norms.
Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra has updated its capable MUV, the Bolero with new safety features like driver’s side airbag, ABS, speed warning system, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminders for the driver and front passenger and a manual override for the central locking system. Official bookings for the new model have begun and interested buyers can book the new Bolero online or via any dealership.
The 2019 Mahindra Bolero Power Plus and 9-seat Bolero Plus are now AIS 415-complaint, in line with Government’s safety mandate that requires the fitment of safety features including driver airbag, ABS, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder for driver and co-driver and an over-speed alert for the driver.
Simultaneously, Mahindra has discontinued all 5 variants of the 7-seater Bolero (LX, EX, SLE, SLX, and ZLX) that were powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 64 PS of power and 195 Nm of Torque. While this engine will be offered on the 9-seater Bolero Plus, it will be upgraded as per Mahindra’s BS6 engine specifications to meet the April 2020 deadline.
The 7-seater Mahindra Bolero Power Plus continues to run on a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-diesel motor churning 72 PS of power and a peak torque of 195 Nm. Mahindra is yet to badge the new Bolero with a price-tag but expect it to be expensive up to Rs. 50,000/- as per the variant.
